    Holywood Arches Library 10.30am– Permission forms on class notice boards for signing.

    Tuesday 14th

    Community Relations, Education and Diversity programme: Wee folk’ are visiting the nursery 9.30am. We will be exploring traditional Irish stories and music. Parents/carers welcome.

    Wednesday 15th

    Visit to Ulster Museum. Please let us know if you can volunteer to come with us

    As part of the ‘Belfast Festival for

    Learning, we are hosting a free event for pupils/siblings of Ravenscroft– (Parents must accompany any children attending) Family movie ‘Ratatouille’ and ‘food from around the world’ tasting– 10.30-12.30. Food/snacks from around the world will be provided but please feel free to bring a food contribution. Please let us know in advance if you wish to attend and/or can bring any snack food, and we can plan accordingly, thank you!

    SPONSERED SING-A-LONG

    Our sponsored sing along will take place on Friday 7th April, and we would love to see you all there at 11am. School finishes that day at 11.30am (no dinners)

    Topic this month

    This month we will be introducing our Easter/Growth theme. We will be finding out about some of the traditions associated with this time of year. To develop our ’Growth’ theme, we will be planting new bulbs, seeds & plants whilst caring for existing plants both indoors & outdoors. The colour this month in N1 is brown, and the shape is oval. In N2 the colour is yellow, and the shape is Diamond.

     

    Getting Ready to Learn

    We are launching the second strand of our Getting Ready to Learn programme and will be sending home Maths resource packs shortly. Strand three of our programme is coming soon when we will hold workshops for parents focusing on fine motor skills.

     

    Parent Teacher Meetings

    Childrens Reports will be sent home on Thurs 30th March. Parent Teacher meetings to follow from 31st March. Sign in sheets will be available and you will be able to sign in on your preferred day/time slot

     

    Old Wellies

    If you have any old unused wellies we would be glad to have them

    Calling all ‘Groundforce’ Volunteers

    1. outdoor play area is in need of a spring clean/tidy up, with some small items of maintenance to be taken care of. Our digging area could also use some TLC to make it useable and we will be doing a ’Big Spring Clean’ in March. If you can help in any way with gardening, tidying, outdoor painting/maintenance of greenhouse and playhouse, PLEASE let us know. Thank you, your support does help to create a wonderful play area for the children.

     

    Day as Night’ Day– 27th Jan

    All children and staff came to school dressed for bed. We

    This marked the launch of our ‘Big Bedtime Read’ programme. Children will receive a plastic school bag with 5 books each Friday, to be returned on Wednesday. We hope you and your child enjoy the programme
